Miami Heat tickets finally delivered a good home win last night, something that has been lacking this season. Most NBA teams, and the Heat are no exception, tend to do better at home. This season has been a kind of quirky one as Miami seems to be doing better on the road than in American Airlines Arena. The Heat are only 9-15 at home this season and 22-29 overall.
Last night turned that trend on it’s head as Miami Heat ticket holders got a solid win over the New York Knicks after some tough road losses. Chris Bosh led the way with 32 points and Mario Chalmers added 18 for a 109-95 Heat win. Yes, it came against the struggling Knicks but Miami did their part. Miami is getting decent play from their guards in the absence of Dwyane Wade, who is still fighting a hamstring injury and has missed big chunks of time this season. The Heat turned the ball over 5 times in his absence using Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole.
Luol Deng got in the action with 12 points and Chris Andersen put up 10. Miami is coming off a string of tough losses and is 2-5 in their last seven games. The New Orleans Hornets come to American Airlines Arena on Feb 20th, but before that Miami will have to deal with Cleveland and the Knicks again in New York.
For New York it just gets tougher as Carmelo Anthony went out in the fourth with a bad knee.
